The Pan-European Register of Clinical Trials in Children is a register of all paediatric clinical studies being performed, or planned, in one of four countries, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and France. The Register will hopefully expand in the future to include other European nations.

The Register is intended for all types of users, from professionals in the health field to parents wishing to obtain information on studies being carried out concerning specific diseases and in which they may wish to enroll their child.

Project currently under development

We are currently in the initial stages of developing the register, therefore it is not yet a comprehensive database of paediatric clinical trials. We hope that – with the help of hospitals, ethics committees, paediatric agencies, the pharmaceutical industry, and many others - it will soon expand to become a comprehensive and useful register for paediatric health care workers, researchers, and the public.

The DEC-net Register is supported under the European Union's Fifth Framework Programme, Thematic Programme "Quality of Life" (contract QLG4-CT-2002-01054)
